"A pleasant, open face..."

A few 5th Doctor sketches:

"SUPERMAN! Champion of the oppressed."

"The physical marvel who had sworn to devote his existence to helping those in need!"
-"Superman" (Action Comics #1 June, 1938)

Doctor Who Classics series 3 #6

Well, the last issue of Doctor Who Classic is out. It's a shame that it's over. It was a great Series and Charlie Kirchoff was doing a brilliant job on the colors. But everything ends, such is the nature of existence. And we went out, not with a whimper, but with a big bang- Sexy Peri! I've seen a few mentions about the overtly sexy Peri online and they've been hilarious and positive.

And here's my cover for #6 (with colors by the aforementioned Mr. Kirchoff).

Airboy

Here's another piece that Evan Shaner made more awesome by adding his eye for hues. Airboy is one of my favorite characters. And doing an Airboy comic has been a dream project of mine for a long, long time. Eh, one of these days... But until then, here's a faux cover I drew, with colors by Evan Shaner, and text by Cut & Paste.

And the original inkwash piece:

The Batman

A very 1930's sketchbook piece of The Batman:

"It's an omen.. I shall become a bat!"

"And thus was born this weird figure of the dark.. this avenger of evil: The Batman"

-The Legend of The Batman(Batman #1 Spring 1940)

Evan Shaner http://www.evanshaner.com/ made my day by adding some of his brilliant colors to my inky scrawl; and kicked all kinds of ass in the process.

Wondering Women

Here are a few Wonder Woman pieces I drew this week. Coincidentally timed with the unveiling of DC's new WW costume.

An older WW peice:
