"The Doctor in the TARDIS doesn't know."

Arriving in comic shops tomorrow, May 5th is Doctor Who Classics III #3:
Cover art by me, with colors by Charlie Kirchoff and published by the overwhelmingly fantastic folks at IDW- chief among them Denton Tipton and Chris Ryall.

The issue reprints the complete 6th Doctor story, POLLY THE GLOT, from Doctor Who Magazine 95-97 by Steve Parkhouse and John Ridgway with brand new colors by the aformentioned and excellent Charlie Kirchoff.

And here's the B/W version:

Sketchcards of the Damned

Here's a handful of sketchcards I drew this week. Just a few portraits to get in the mood for the next batch of Strictly Ink cards I'll be doing. More Hammer Horror, more Big Screen Dr. Who and more Ray Harryhausen. Many of which I'll be posting here eventually.

With the Cybermen cards I experimented with added zip-a-tone over the inkwash, which actually resulted in a really interesting effect.

The Six Doctors

Doctor Who Classics Series III #5 cover

And here it is with Charlie Kirchoff's colors:

Every aspect of doing covers for IDW's Doctor Who Classics is a dream come true. As a fan of the series since I was five years old, as a fan of these comics, and as someone who loves to wallow in his nerdity- it is overwhelmingly, indescribably awesome. And being able to do this cover might be the most amazing part of something that was already beyond brilliant. The Six Doctors-- How cool is that?.

Doctor Who Classics

Decided to start a new blog. With any luck I'll be updating this often. Unless I'm doing work that the publishers won't let me post or I get lazy or I'm watching cartoons...

Here's the cover I did for IDW's Dr. Who Classics Series 3 #4. With colors by the always astounding Charlie Kirchoff.
